What is a Maecenas?

People often ask how an independent artist moves forward without big labels or famous galleries. They wonder where to find a Maecenas — someone who believes in your work enough to support your time and craft.

The truth is, real Maecenas are rare. Most artists never meet one, so I learned to become my own.

Beyond passion and discipline, an artist needs a parallel path — work that’s practical, steady, and aligned with the creative journey.

For me, that Maecenas is the family business I built with my loved ones: our Print Shop.
The work that supports the art.
The art that gives purpose to the work.

That is how I remain — and how I continue creating.
